Jack Bobo, owner of Canterbury Jul. 12th, 2007 @ 04:24 pm

interesting news Mar. 27th, 2007 @ 02:45 am
So the landlady's mom (who lives across from me) decided to chat up Joce and told her to let me know to clean up the front of my place because the owner of Canterbury (who I think nile_red or someone sleuthed to be a senator?) was coming to visit to check out the apartments. Word has it he's planning to invest half a million into fixing it up, and of course raising rent. They plan to tear down 22 and 23 (and probably others) and clean up everyone's nasty backyards.

Bushes+Chainsaw=What! Feb. 27th, 2007 @ 11:54 pm
So instead of trimming the bushes, which has needed to be done for so long, they take a CHAINSAW after them and chop them up into ugly little pieces leaving behind mis-shappen plant matter and the poor plants remains littered about the ground.  I will be walking on plant carcasses for the next month or so.

so, Maggie totally depressed me by informing me that the Canterbury landlord might be doubling the rent in the courtyard due to unforseen renovations. she said that Andrea learned this from Kelly while paying rent this month. does anyone know anything else about this? because it seriously pissed me off.

because, honestly, i would move out. unless they actually performed said renovations like replacing my air conditioning and painting the entire interior of my apartment and laying new carpet everywhere and replacing the shitty washers and dryers in our facility that we can't use because they suck so bad and offer a great danger of having your clothes stolen by Tony and filling or fixing the pool so it doesn't look like a nauseating vomit-pond and cleaning up all of the townhouse exteriors, like fixing light fixtures and removing small, deadly spikes that line each window of each apartment and clothing naked babies that pee everywhere and locking up annoying yappy dogs and fixing the water-draining problem of the front parking lot so that it doesn't stay flooded for a fucking week after it's rained and getting those fucking losers to move their car-repair shop out of the front parking lot where they take up 5 fucking spots, and many, many more things that make this apartment complex so shitty, and then i would only pay after the renovations were made, and i would not pay twice as much, because it still wouldn't be worth it.

and if they tried to raise rent before doing any work at all, i won't pay it. i will move out if necessary.

» WTF?
What happened to the pool!?!?!?
» Trash!?!
So, the trash hasn't been picked up but it has been organized...really adds class to the place.
» vacancies
deronde informed me to post here to see if anyone would be moving in the next few weeks because I plan to move to canturbury..its affordable, you all know that anyway, thats the question, anyone know about this? Also if not what apts are empty and not falling in on themselves or painfully close to the owner?

» Finally
The trash people finally came today. However, the dumpsters are filled half way again already.
» Burning Trash
The trash has gotten so bad that there is a guy, along with Kelli's mom, outside by the dumpsters right now burning it. So either Kelli just won't call the dumpster people someone got them to come clean it up or Canterbury is really that poor because they planted trees in the courtyard instead. Either way, it's disgusting and ridiculous and unsafe.
